New CM3588 NAS Kit is doing nothing

I received my CM3588 NAS Kit (32GB RAM - 256GB eMMC) today. So far I do not have any NVMEs installed but that should not be an issue. I've downloaded an SD image, flashed onto SD card and inserted it into the carrier board, plugged in a power supply (12V, 5A which the power supply for my old Synology NAS) and connected my (Dell) monitor via HDMI. Then pressed the power button. Short press, long press. Nothing is happening, the power LED is off and the screen dark.
I can meassure the 12V provided from the power supply via the second power in on the carrier board. So, the power is there but that's all.
Is the carrier board (or CPU board) dead or do I miss something?

Check jumper settings and confirm correct SD image for CM3588. Try a known-good 12V/5A supply. If power LED stays off, the board may be faulty.

Have you tried checking the boot jumper, power button and reconfirming the boot diagram from eMMC or SD? Because I have also encountered a case where the device only boots when properly powered via the main 12V port and has the correct jumper configuration, even though the measured power is still good.

I just received my CM3588 plus yesterday and it would’t power on and leds showed no sign of activity. After visually inspecting the board, I found that on my unit the CPU board is not properly connected to the carrier board because one corner of the board is about 1 mm higher than the others. I gave that corner a gentle press and heard a click sound. Then my unit powered on after plugging in the AC adapter. The unit has been working well after that. Hope this helps.
